Building a New Checklist


In Emergent, Administrators have the ability to create Vehicle Checklists, Station Checklists, Shift Checklists and Personnel Checklists all within the same Checklist Builder by using the Add Template function.


NOTE:  When a checklist is built, it must be assigned to a vehicle, station, shift or person.  For example: if the checklist is being built for a new unit, the vehicle needs to be added to the system before the checklist is created.

The Checklist Builder screen is divided into 2 sections: 

Checklist Manager

Checklist Designer


Checklist Manager:

The top portion of the screen, the Administrator, defines the behavior of the checklist.  

  1. Checklist Name (required) - Is the name of the checklist as it will display to users in the app.
  2. Assignment Type (required) - select either Vehicle, Station, Shift or Personnel.
  3. Assignments (required) - based on what is selected in #2, provides a pick list of vehicles, stations, shifts or people that the checklist will be applied to.
  4. Description - further description if needed (optional)
  5. Signature - Is a signature of the person completing the checklist required?
  6. Active - Should this checklist display in the iPad app?
  7. Checklist Type - Scheduled or Adhoc 


Checklist Designer:

The bottom portion of the screen is where the Administrator builds the checklist.

   8. The checklist can be divided into sections.

   9. Each section can be given a name

   10. Predefined questions are selected from the library

   11. Once the question is found, drag the question to the desired section
