Tactical Boards - Incident Types Details

In Emergent, Administrators have the ability to define the types of Tactical Boards available to users of the Emergent iPad App and how each type of incident should behave.

To access the details for each Incident Type, click the pencil next to that type.

The details are broken into 3 tabs:  Benchmarks, Checklists and Functional Areas.

Benchmarks

Benchmarks are intended to allow the tracking of when major goals or tasks are completed for the incident and measure the duration of each task for reporting purposes.  They are most commonly created for tasks related to life safety, incident stabilization or property conservation.  Click here for the creation and editing of Benchmark tasks and sub-tasks.

Benchmarks will display in the Tactical Command board in the task list in the same order they display in the setup.  In this example, the benchmarks are for a Residential Fire.  The Benchmarks can be re-ordered by dragging them up and down the list.  The Administrator can determine which Benchmarks are used by turning the options on and off with the slider toggle.  If a parent task is turned off - then all of the sub-tasks are automatically turned off however, when a parent tasks is enabled, the administrator can choose which of the sub-tasks to enable as well.

Checklists

Similar to Benchmarks, Checklists create a "todo" list for the incident.  These tasks can also have sub-tasks, and the duration of the activities is also tracked.

Checklists will display in the Tactical Board below the Benchmarks in the same order they do in the setup.  The administrator can drag the tasks to change the order and turn Checklist items on and off by changing the toggle switch.

Functional Areas

The Functional Areas tab allows the Administrator to select the default Command Structure and define the Functional Areas to be managed for the selected incident type.

To edit the Functional Areas for the current board type, click the Edit button.

To select items to add to the board, drag them from the lists below, and arrange them in the desired order.  They will then display on the iPad app.
