Assisting Agencies

In Emergent, the Assisting Agency feature is essential for the Tactical Board to identify units from external agencies. By setting up the agency and its potential responding units, Incident Commanders can gain a comprehensive view of all units dispatched to an incident, ensuring better coordination and situational awareness.

The primary purpose of the Assisting Agency and its units is to improve the integration with CAD/PulsePoint.  There are only 4 required fields:

  1. Name - The name of the agency as you want to see it in the Tactical Board and ultimately downstream reporting
  2. State - the state in which the agency resides
  3. Agency Number - This field needs match the agency number as it represented in CAD to assure accurate data mapping
  4. Status - true = active, false = inactive

While not required, it is beneficial to add the agency units that potentially will respond to incidents as it will feed into the Tactical Board and be beneficial for the Incident Commander.  All that is needed is the Call Sign (as it is represented in CAD) and a default number of crew members for that unit.
